Hot Water Beach
Hot Water Beach is one of the most famous New Zealand attractions is located only 20 minutes from Pacific Harbour Lodge. Take a spade, or hire one when you get there, and dig a hole on the beach, when the tide is low, your hole will fill with hot mineral water - you'll have your very own hot pool! The ultimate time to visit Hot Water Beach is two hours either side of low tide - contact Pacific Harbour Lodge for more information on arranging transport to the beach.
Cathedral Cove
Visit Cathedral Cove - the filming location of The Chronicle of Narnia - Prince Caspian - for the perfect day trip. Take a picnic and enjoy one of the many scenic walks in the area or take a dip in the protected marine reserve where you can experience some of New Zealand's spectacular marine life. Take a walk over the hill to Hahei Beach which is great for swimming.
